100 Year T Shirt
Built with Japanese Cordura it’s 14x tougher than a regular cotton t shirt.
- Built with military grade Japanese Cordura
- Highly abrasion resistant but incredibly soft
- Fast drying and moisture wicking
Engineered with a blend of military grade Japanese Cordura and cotton, the 100 Year T Shirt is just as soft as a regular cotton t shirt, but it’s 14x stronger. The challenge for the 100 Year T Shirt was simple – build a t shirt that’s tough enough to outlive you, but comfortable enough for you to want to spend the rest of your life in. The reality of most t shirts is that after a few years they start to break down, then they’re thrown out. The 100 Year T Shirt is different. While it looks like a regular cotton t shirt and feels like a regular cotton t shirt, it’s made from a material so tough it was originally developed for military combat uniforms.
Ultralight Shell with Dyneema®
A 275 gram, highly weatherproof shell, reinforced with the world’s strongest fibre.

Technical Details

This is the first rain jacket engineered with the strength to weight ratio of Ant-Man.

Weight for weight Dyneema® is 15x stronger than steel
Dyneema® is the single strongest fibre known to man today. If you’re into chemistry, it’s an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene that combines extreme strength with very low weight. On a weight for weight basis it’s up to 15x stronger than steel and 40% stronger than high-strength aramid fibres. It’s so tough it was originally used in body armour, anti-ballistic vehicle armour, and ropes used to tie down oil rigs in violent, icy seas.

While it’s only 275 grams, the jacket is reinforced with thousands of Dyneema® strands 15x stronger than steel.

We’ve ditched traditional underarm vents
A couple of years ago a friend of the brand reached out to us. He lives in the Pacific Northwest and spends most of his time outdoors, climbing mountains in constantly changing conditions. And every time the weather changed it was a hassle. Jacket off, jacket back on. Grabbing the ends of his sleeves to get enough tension to unzip the underarm vents while his backpack straps got in the way. And swinging his arms to force the vents to let air in. It sounded messy.

The upper arm vents open smoothly and in a split second, even if you’re wearing a backpack.

Fitted with a two-way water resistant zipper
The jacket is fitted with a two-way zipper meaning you can open it out from the bottom to let cool air in. Combined with the upper arm vents it’s a system which lets you dump heat at speed. The zipper is water resistant, fitted with a chin guard and the upper puller locks into place when you push it down. It also comes with an internal storm flap to protect you from wind and rain.

Two zipped side pockets
The jacket comes with two large side pockets with water resistant zippers. The zippers are fitted with pullers that are easy to grab onto even if you’re caught in a storm.

Built from a three-layered Japanese material, the jacket is highly waterproof and breathable.

The Dyneema® adds abrasion and rip resistance
The strands of Dyneema® add abrasion and rip resistance to the jacket, acting like a high-strength ripstop. So it’s designed to stand up to the kinds of abuse you’ll encounter on the toughest adventures. It scores 70,000 revolutions on the Martindale abrasion resistance test, which is close to some of our toughest 100 Year gear. And you won’t find this level of strength in other jackets in the same weight category. But this is still an ultralight material, so it’s not going to stop bullets or knives.

Why you find Dyneema® in survival situations
To understand just how tough Dyneema® is, and why we see it as part of the future, you have to look at how it’s being deployed in the world today. It’s used to make bullet resistant vests, armour and helmets. It’s used in panels on tanks to protect against stronger ballistic threats like anti-tank projectiles. And you’ll find it in bulletproof cockpit doors in most commercial planes in the US. Unlike other high strength materials it’s so light it floats on water, and it’s resistant to the long-term effects of moisture, UV light and chemicals, which is why it’s now also being used in artificial limbs.
