We’re the first generation able to colonise new planets, at the same time as saving our own. So we’re designing for both. Prehistoric man invented clothing to survive the last Ice Age. We’re now reinventing it to help us survive the next century.
our clothing tackles the fundamental challenges of our time
As floods and fires sweep across entire countries, and we face life on Earth with new categories of ultraviolent weather, we're going to need new categories of clothing.
Today we're at a turning point in human history. The first generation able to colonise new planets, at the same time as saving our own. So we're designing for both.
For the last 5 years we’ve been experimenting with different ways to make colour that reduce the industry’s reliance on petroleum-based dyes. We’ve worked with everything from the world’s first black algae dye, to wood, to minerals like hematite, to earth pigments like ochre, and even DNA.
From combatting diseases on Earth, to helping you sleep in space. We think about clothing as technology - an extended support system for the human body.
