100 Year Zip Through Hoodie
The fleece-lined hoodie designed to outlive you. It fights fire, water, wind and time.
- Fire resistant, water repellent and windproof
- Embedded with an abrasion resistant polymer coating
- Fleece-lined underside
Our 100 Year Hoodies have always been tough. But our new zip through edition is the softest and lightest version we’ve ever made. It’s super stretchy, lined with ultrasoft breathable fleece, and has 4 huge zipped front pockets for stashing your gear. But it’s also windproof, abrasion resistant, water repellent, fire resistant, and can withstand temperatures 4x hotter than the sun. So you can now wear it anywhere, and all year round.
The hoodie combines 4 different layers of technology. The inside of the hoodie is made from an incredibly dense fleece that’s 4x more windproof than a regular fleece, while the outside of the fabric is a blend of modacrylic and aramid fibres for fire resistance. On top of that there are two coatings. One is a fluorocarbon-free treatment that helps it shed rain and snow. The other fuses high strength polymers directly into the fibres to make the hoodie highly abrasion resistant.
Future Nylon Coat
Constructed with ultrasonic welding, lasers and a high-strength, lightweight Cordura.

Technical Details

Built with high-strength, high-stretch Cordura and ultrasonic welding, we’ve given the nylon raincoat an upgrade for the next century.

Nylon might be the only material that performs just as well at the Met Gala as it does on Mars.

Air jet texturing makes Cordura extremely hard wearing
Cordura starts life as regular nylon fibres which are then treated with a process called air jet texturing which strengthens each individual fibre. They are then tightly woven, creating a high-tenacity material that’s resistant to abrasion and rips, and built to last.

Each coat is constructed with ultrasonic welding, which uses high frequency sound waves to join the nylon together at a molecular level.

The shape is based on the simplicity of a classic mac
We’ve based the shape and style of the Future Nylon Coat on the simplicity of a classic mac. It’s designed to sit around mid-thigh so it can work as an overcoat or a standalone coat. There’s a pointed collar reinforced with zigzag stitching, and the hem comes with the traditional laser-cut single back vent.

The invention of nylon in 1935 paved the way for a material revolution that would fundamentally change life on Earth.

Nylon revolutionised the field of polymer science
After 7 years of countless experiments and setbacks Carothers and his team made their breakthrough in 1935. A combination of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid produced a long-chain polymer now known as nylon 6,6. When heated and extruded through tiny holes this polymer created fibres of never-before-seen strength and versatility. It was the world’s first truly synthetic fibre. The discovery also proved that polymers could be precisely engineered, where previously chemists had been attempting overly complex formulas that relied heavily on chance.
