Graphene Jacket
Built with the only material in the world with a Nobel prize.
- Three layered material with a graphene core
- Ultra lightweight at 197 grams
- Highly waterproof and breathable
While it’s invisible to the human eye and only a single atom thick, graphene is the lightest, strongest, most conductive material ever discovered. The existence of graphene as a supermaterial was first theorised in the 1940s, but it wasn’t until 2004 that two maverick scientists at the University of Manchester were able to isolate and test it. And in 2010 their work won them the Nobel Prize.
Since then we’ve already built two world firsts with graphene. In 2018 we built the world’s first Graphene Jacket. Then in 2022 we worked with the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester to create the Thermal Camouflage Jacket to bring us one step closer to an invisibility cloak.
Now, 6 years after we started working with graphene, we’re getting closer to building a graphene skin. This time the graphene sits at the core of the jacket where it can store and redistribute heat, help regulate your temperature, and reduce humidity next to your body. It’s also highly breathable, highly waterproof, and thanks to the graphene nanoplatelets only being a few atoms thick, weighs just 197 grams.
Future Suit Jacket
A futureproof, weatherproof suit jacket. Designed for dream hijacking or boardrooms.
Technical Details
The Future Suit transforms Merino into a smooth, minimalist, high tech material.
How we make the suit windproof and water resistant
The Future Suit is built with Merino wool engineered using Optim™ spinning technology. The fibres are pre-stretched, spun into yarn and woven into fabric, before a wet-finishing process is applied that makes the fibres contract and the weave structure tighten. The result is a super-dense and tightly woven fabric that’s 5x more wind resistant than normal, and can last half an hour in the rain before it even gets damp.

The Future Suit that is designed to take you from a plane to a boardroom, to a lunch, to a mountain.
Built with weatherproof detailing
You’ll find two bellows pockets at the hip that come with hidden, water resistant zippers. The jacket is lined with a lightweight breathable mesh to keep you comfortable in the heat. And the sleeves are fitted with elasticated cuffs to keep the weather out.
The jacket comes with a fully adjustable waist
One of the key features of a blouson jacket is its close-fitting waist. It’s normally achieved with a ribbed or elasticated hem, but we’ve added an internal drawcord so the hem is fully adjustable. The rubber cord lock at the hip is the same one used in our Graphene Jacket – you just place two fingers on either side, pinch, and pull it towards you to cinch the waist.
The Future Suit is an ultramodern, high performance travel suit.
The jacket is antibacterial
It’s not sweat that smells, or even the clothes themselves, it’s the build-up of bacteria on the surface of the clothes. Merino is naturally odour resistant – odour molecules are absorbed and locked into the centre of the fibre of the Merino so you simply can’t smell them. They’re then released when you wash the jacket.
