Planet Earth Lightweight Field Jacket
A jacket that looks like you stole it off the back of Indiana Jones.
- Material made and garment dyed in northern Italy
- Equipped with seven pockets
- Critical seams reinforced with herringbone tape
If youÕve ever walked out of a film and decided that from now on youÕre going to dress more like Jason Bourne, Tyler Durden, or Indiana JonesÉ the good news is youÕre not alone. The bad news is unless you have your own costume department, dressing like a film star is hard. So weÕve spent the last 2 years building a jacket that looks like you stole it off the back of Indiana Jones.
ItÕs a rugged, super-lightweight cotton jacket based on the iconic M-65 field jacket Ð a US Army staple that saw action in Vietnam before making the leap to the civilian wardrobe in the 1970s. Its military heritage is reflected in a utilitarian design that features seven pockets including two huge bellows pockets on the lower back, heavy-duty metal hardware, and internally reinforced seams for lasting durability.
What truly sets it apart is its unique finish. Getting it to look like itÕs walked off a film set has involved months of garment dyeing, re-dyeing and stone-washing, so no two jackets will ever look the same. And its patina will only deepen and get richer as you wear it on your own adventures.
Technical Details
Made with a custom dyeing process that makes each jacket look like it’s stepped off a film set, no two jackets are the same.
Engineered for comfort and utility
A great field jacket needs two things – comfort and utility. So we set out to create a jacket that retains the DNA of the original M-65, while looking and feeling like a jacket you’ll want to throw on every single day. Lightweight, soft and durable with a beautifully faded look, each one is assembled with high-spec metal components, seams that are reinforced with strong herringbone tape, and seven ultra-practical pockets designed for adventure. It’s what allows the jacket to blend in anywhere.

Designed to look and feel lived in from day one
Our goal was to build a jacket that looks and feels ready to travel anywhere from the moment you get it. So we headed to northern Italy – the birthplace of modern garment dyeing – to work with a partner that specialises in creating complex colours in exceptional fabrics. Here it took months of experimentation to develop and refine the multi-step process which creates the jacket’s unique look and feel.
Lightweight, durable, and built with custom dyes and high spec metal components, it’s a jacket that looks like it’s truly lived.
Made with a custom dyeing process
We start with a green military fabric which we cut, sew and construct into jackets. The jackets are coloured again as we submerge them in a sand-coloured dye, blending the two colours to lighten the green. Finally they’re lightly stone-washed to create a patina around the seams and metal components. This process gives every jacket its own distinctive visual texture that means no two jackets will ever be the same.
The more adventures you take it on, the more it will mould to your body and develop its own unique fade patterns.
Durable detailing throughout
The jacket fastens down the centre with a heavy-duty metal zipper protected by a storm flap that closes with metal press studs. The cuffs tighten around your wrists with the same metal snaps and two tightness settings to choose from. And we’ve reinforced the critical seams inside the jacket with strong herringbone tape.
