Waterfallproof Parka
Built for a world of megastorms, where “waterproof” is not enough.
- Outer material engineered with self-drying nanotechnology
- Built with an intelligent waterproof membrane
- Fitted with a watertight chest pocket
The Waterfallproof Parka is designed to combat the megastorms of the future where crazily intense rainfall becomes the norm. Highly waterproof, windproof and breathable, it’s constructed with an advanced 3 layer Swiss material with an intelligent membrane that opens and closes to release or retain heat, and self-drying nanotechnology that mimics a lotus leaf so water simply rolls off it.
Every detail of the jacket is built for extreme waterproofness. All the seams are fully sealed, and critical seams are reinforced with giant welded bartacks for strength. We’ve engineered out seams at the shoulders to eliminate the chance of water finding its way in. It’s designed with a long fit to help keep the top half your legs dry in the wettest conditions. And it comes with giant Velcro belts on the cuffs, massive side pockets fitted with waterproof zippers and protected by storm flaps, and a watertight chest pocket that can withstand total immersion in water up to your neck.
Technical Details
The outside of the Waterfallproof Parka mimics one of nature’s most brilliant pieces of engineering, so water simply rolls off it.
The jacket is designed to combat the megastorms of the future, where crazily intense rainfall and snowstorms become the norm.
How the membrane works in the cold
This c_change® membrane mimics natural structures like flowers and pinecones, opening and closing in response to changes in temperature, humidity and sweat. It’s designed to keep you at a consistent temperature by combining really high breathability with heat retention. While it can open up like a series of microscopic vents to let heat escape, in the cold it closes itself like a protective barrier to stop heat leaving. So as soon as the temperature drops, or you stop moving, the membrane contracts to insulate you and retain heat close to the body.
How the membrane works in the heat and wet
As the air temperature rises, the membrane opens up so that excess sweat and heat can escape through the jacket. But while the membrane’s polymer structure opens up to become extremely permeable to water vapour leaving the body, it remains completely waterproof on the outside. It means that even if you held a jacket under a downpour in extreme heat, the jacket will only ever let the water through one way, while still letting heat pass through it.
Waterproof detailing throughout

Deep pockets and storm flaps for harsh weather
Two massive side pockets are fitted with water resistant zippers and covered by storm flaps which fasten shut with a metal press stud. The pockets are deep enough to let you tuck in up past your forearms if you’re being battered by rain. The two-way front zipper is water resistant and protected by a large external storm flap which fastens down with tough metal snap fasteners. On the inside there’s an internal storm flap to protect you from wind and rain.
Size + Fit
The Waterfallproof Parka is designed with a loose fit, with plenty of room for other layers underneath. If you prefer a closer fit, we recommend you go for the size down.
