The Graphene Suit Jacket

The only suit jacket built with a supermaterial. Cape not included.
£895
Model is 5ft 11 / 180cm with a 38 inch / 97cm chest, and wears size Medium.
  • Fabric infused with graphene during yarn extrusion
  • Thermoregulating, breathable, and bacteriostatic
  • Unlined, minimalist tailoring with four-way stretch

If you’re looking to reverse engineer superhero gear, then graphene is your material. Invisible to the human eye and only a single atom thick, it’s the lightest, strongest, most conductive material ever discovered.

So a Graphene Suit was always going to happen – we just ditched the skintight vibes and flowing cape. With graphene infused into every fibre of the jacket at a molecular level, this is the lightest, stretchiest, coolest and most comfortable super-suit in the universe.

It’s also highly breathable and built with four-way stretch for free-flowing movement in any direction. We’ve added a water repellent finish to protect against light rain. And thanks to the graphene, it conducts heat to help regulate your temperature and it’s bacteria resistant in case you get any bits of bad guy on you.

A material built for superheroes

If you’re looking to reverse engineer superhero gear then graphene is your material. It’s the lightest, strongest, and most conductive substance ever discovered. Since 2018 we’ve been using it to create clothing that behaves like technology – from thermal skins to invisibility cloaks. And now we’ve used it to build a suit jacket with superpowers.
Graphene is the lightest, strongest and most conductive material ever discovered.

A 21st century suit jacket

The Graphene Suit Jacket is built as a minimalist and unstructured blazer. So it’s a tailored jacket that moves like performance sports gear. There’s no padding, no lining, and no unnecessary internal scaffolding. Hidden snaps replace buttons. And the pockets are zipped but largely invisible.

We infuse graphene directly into the fabric

To build the jacket, graphene is added at the molecular level during yarn creation. The polymer base is melted and extruded – effectively pushed through microscopic nozzles – while powdered graphene oxide is introduced into the molten flow. As it cools, the graphene bonds permanently to the polymer, baking its properties into every fibre. The graphene’s microscopic lattice gives the surface a subtle, tessellated sheen, visible only in the right light.
Ultralight, ultra-elastic, bacteria resistant and temperature regulating. Cape not included.

Why graphene makes an incredible suit jacket

Graphene conducts heat more efficiently than any other material on Earth, warming or cooling almost instantly. It’s bacteriostatic, meaning bacteria can’t grow on its surface, so it stays fresher and odour-free even after long wear. And the fabric is super light, helping it drape cleanly while staying fluid and flexible.

Unstructured, unlined, and built for maximum mobility

We add 30% elastane to the graphene-infused polyamide which means the jacket has incredible four-way stretch. It can take any bend or twist you throw at it and feels and acts more like sports gear. Articulated three-piece sleeves make it feel even more comfortable and flexible. The jacket’s internal seams are bound and the jacket is completely unlined and stripped of the restrictive sub-structure of traditional tailoring. This is a jacket so light and comfortable, you’ll forget you’re wearing it.
Engineered for travelling light, you can just pull it out of your bag and shake it out.

Built with minimalist detailing

The jacket is engineered with minimalist design detailing, which keeps its lines clean, sharp and uncluttered. The front of the jacket closes with hidden, hardwearing invisible snaps instead of buttons. These snaps offer multiple ‘breakpoints’ and the hidden snap behind the lapel means you can fasten it up to the collar.

It comes with stealth pockets

We’ve replaced the traditional ‘pocket square’ chest pocket you find on suits with a minimalist angled zipped pocket. The zipper is completely concealed behind the fabric so only the puller is visible. There are two more hidden zipped pockets lower down at either side of the jacket. Inside, the pocket bags are French-seamed, the back vent is fully bound, and every exposed edge is finished for long-term durability.

The Graphene Suit system

The Graphene Suit Jacket is designed to work with our Graphene Suit Pants and Graphene Tie. Each piece is made from the same graphene-infused fabric. So the entire outfit conducts heat, resists bacteria, stretches, recovers, and behaves as a single material system.

The only material that comes with a Nobel Prize

The existence of graphene as a supermaterial was first theorised in the 1940s, but it wasn’t until 2004 that two maverick scientists at the University of Manchester – Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov – were able to isolate and test it. They peeled layer after layer off a shaving of graphite using Scotch tape until they produced a sample of graphene just one atom thick. In 2010 their work won them the Nobel Prize.
Graphene’s discovery was probably the first and last time the Nobel Prize will be awarded for an experiment involving Scotch tape and a bin.

A supermaterial unlike anything before

When graphite is reduced to a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagon formation, it turns into a supermaterial unlike anything ever known before. It’s so strong and so stretchy that the fibres of a super-sized spider web coated in graphene could catch a falling plane. With the potential to transform almost every industry from space travel to electronics, graphene is so mind-blowing that its discovery was described as like finding CERN’s Large Hadron Collider on your desk.
