Life on any early Martian base will be intense – as we’ll have to rebuild everything we take for granted here on Earth. It means downtime will be key. So we’ve started working on chill-out gear for Mars that’s designed to help you feel at home, even if you’re 249 million miles away.
Built by the same machines that build beds, the Mars Hoodie is the ultimate comfort hoodie – it’s what you’ll wear when you’re watching your favourite TV show from Earth on another planet. The double-layered, weighted, 3D knitted hoodie is created out of multi-dimensional fabric, and unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Its padded, sculptural texture is based on the Martian surface, the cooling systems on spacesuits, and the pressurised inflatable buildings likely to become home on our second planet.

The only material that comes with a Nobel Prize
The existence of graphene as a supermaterial was first theorised in the 1940s, but it wasn’t until 2004 that two maverick scientists at the University of Manchester – Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov – were able to isolate and test it. They peeled layer after layer off a shaving of graphite using Scotch tape until they produced a sample of graphene just one atom thick. In 2010 their work won them the Nobel Prize. And thanks to their pioneering work we’ve been creating our own world firsts with graphene since 2018.
Graphene’s discovery was probably the first and last time the Nobel Prize will be awarded for an experiment involving Scotch tape and a bin.

We’ve designed the Graphene T Shirt for a slim fit – because the closer you can get graphene to the skin, the more it can help regulate your temperature. But thanks to the four-way stretch, you’ll never feel restricted.
