Size + Fit
The Relaxation Hoodie has a suitably relaxed fit, so if you owned the first version this one will sit looser on you at the same size.
Clothing can help you go places, do things or make some kind of statement. It can help you run faster, climb higher and survive colder conditions. But can it help you do less?
In 2015 we launched a hoodie that zipped over your face. It came in a dusty bubblegum pink developed by a scientist to calm violent prisoners.
The Relaxation Hoodie was our attempt to create a womb-like, wearable isolation tank, clothing that could slow you to a complete stop. Or as Wired magazine put it at the time, to "induce calming oblivion".
Just over a decade on, with more and more science insisting on the need for meditative time-outs, we've rebuilt it in a better material and a more engineered design.
The hem runs level with no dropped tail, and it's fitted with bungee cord adjusters that pull through rubberised eyelets and lock with rubberised cord stoppers, so you can cinch it tight and stop cold air getting in underneath. The hem and cuffs are double turned and stitched to hold their shape rather than curling with wear. It's the difference between a hoodie that keeps you warm while you're moving and one that keeps you warm while you're lying completely still.
