Equator Shirt

- Ultra lightweight weighing 200 grams
- Made with silk-like cotton from the Nile Delta
- Advanced ventilation system with 18 concealed air vents
Home to some of the hottest and most humid places on the planet, the equator carves through dense tropical jungles, warm seas, and crowded cities. Instead of seasons or temperature changes you’re more likely to be hit by a wall of heat, sun, rain and humidity. But as global temperatures rise and climate zones shift, designing clothing for the equator is like designing for our future.
So the Equator Shirt is built to keep you comfortable in all 40,000km of one of the most extreme environments we currently inhabit. The shirt starts with one of the lightest and softest fabrics on the planet, a rare, silk-like cotton from the Nile Delta. We then turned this into a phenomenally lightweight technical shirt by adding stretch, strength and UV protection. And with every detail designed to keep you cool, we engineered the shirt with the most advanced ventilation system we’ve ever made – 18 concealed air vents built with laser cutting and super soft Italian mesh that work together like built-in air-con.
Waterfallproof Pants
Waterproof, windproof and breathable, they can withstand megastorms.
Technical Details
The pants come with a watertight pocket that can withstand high pressure torrents of 100 litres a minute.
The outside of the Waterfallproof Pants mimic one of nature’s most brilliant pieces of engineering, so water simply rolls off them.
Highly waterproof and highly breathable at the same time
The issue with creating something crazily waterproof is breathability. The more water can’t come through one way, the harder it is to let it come out the other. A rubber wetsuit for instance would never let any rain through, but if you tried to go for a run in one you might pass out as it won’t let heat or sweat escape efficiently. So the middle layer of the pants uses Schoeller’s c_change® membrane. Instead of remaining static, the membrane can open and close to respond to different weather conditions as they happen, while remaining permanently waterproof and windproof.
How the membrane works in the heat and wet
As the air temperature rises, the membrane opens up so that excess sweat and heat can escape through the pants. But while the membrane’s polymer structure opens up to become extremely permeable to water vapour leaving the body, it remains completely waterproof on the outside. It means that even if you held the pants under a downpour in extreme heat, they would only ever let the water through one way, while still letting heat pass through them.
Building the material alone requires a total of 28 separate construction processes.
