Our Indestructible range is built from a fibre 15x stronger than steel

Our Indestructible range is made from Dyneema which is the single strongest fibre known to man today. To understand just how tough Dyneema is, you have to look at how it’s being deployed in the world today. It’s used in body armour, anti-ballistic vehicle armour, and ropes that tie down oil rigs in violent, icy seas. We use it to make the world’s strongest jackets, hoodies, hats, belts and puffers.

The Indestructible Puffer is very different to a lightweight packable down jacket, in the same way that climbing into a tank is different from climbing into a car. It’s not going to rip apart after a year or two, or start leaking feathers, and you won’t want to try and pack it away into its own pocket because it will fight you. This is built for the hardest challenges in the toughest places, which is why it weighs 2,000 grams and is built to keep you warm at -30°C.

Woven with a blend of Dyneema for extreme strength, and elastane for extreme stretch, the Indestructible Pants are about as close as we’ve got to building a batsuit. The reality of most materials this strong is that they’re heavy and don’t stretch at all. But we’ve completely rewritten the normal rules with the Indestructible Pants. Engineered with extreme four way stretch, they let you move in any direction without feeling restricted. They also come with 4 concealed zipped pockets, an elasticated rope tied waistband, and taped seams reinforced with double lines of heavy-duty stitching.

The strap of this belt is so strong you’d need to hang more than 4 tonnes off it before it breaks – that’s the same weight as a Hummer or 10 grizzly bears. We’ve paired the Dyneema strap with a COBRA® buckle – the strongest and safest buckle on the planet. Engineered with a patented locking mechanism it’s impossible to release the buckle under tension, and it can withstand 1.8 tonnes of force before breaking. It’s the same buckle Felix Baumgartner wore on the pressure suit that kept him alive during his supersonic freefall from space. 

Since the birth of the denim jacket in 1880, rugged and lightweight utility jackets have been used to protect people carrying out the toughest jobs in the toughest places. After denim became the default uniform for cowboys, miners and labourers, it was followed by the leather bomber jacket built for fighter pilots in open cockpits at 25,000ft. 140 years later we’ve built the toughest utility jacket ever created. Every fibre on the outside of the Indestructible Jacket is up to 15x stronger than steel. 

The fleece-lined edition of the Indestructible Jacket combines extreme strength with extreme practicality. We’ve bonded a waterproof membrane to the underside of the jacket and lined it with an ultra soft Polartec fleece to turn it into an all-weather utility jacket.

As well as being the toughest mitts ever built, the Indestructible Mitts are also windproof and blizzard proof. It takes 5 incredibly high performance materials to make each pair. Beneath the high strength Dyneema outer shell and weatherproof membrane, two different synthetic insulations line the inside of the gloves – one for warmth, one for grip. While the palm of the mitts is made from super high strength, high grip polyacrylate resin dots.
