We think there are 3 ways to tackle sustainable clothing
First you can use advances in material technology to make clothes with a longer life expectancy than the people wearing them. Second you can start digging into waste and trash streams to use the stuff people have already generated and thrown away. Or third, you can go back to using nature and plants to make clothes that require as little energy as possible and leave no trace of their existence at the end of their lives. With our 100 Year range, our Garbage range, and our Algae range, we’re tackling all three routes at the same time.

Our Black Algae gear starts and ends in nature
Not only does algae produce 50 – 80% of the oxygen on the planet, but around 3 billion years ago it became the source of all plant life on Earth. Today we’re using it to change the way materials and colour itself is made. Starting with black. We combine algae with materials like wood pulp and hemp so the clothes can simply be buried in your garden at the end of their life.

Our Garbage range is made from stuff the world threw away
Every single second a garbage truck’s worth of clothing is dumped into landfill somewhere on Earth. So we use intercept materials on their way to the dump and turn them into new clothes. From t shirts made out of old plastic bottles, to sweaters built from mashed up old bullet proof vests and firefighter suits.

Our 100 Year range is designed to outlive you
We use advances in material technology to make clothes with a longer life expectancy than the people wearing them. That’s why our 100 Year gear is made from materials with properties that normal clothes simply don’t have. Our 100 Year Pants, Hoodies and Sweaters are still soft, comfortable and warm. But they’re designed with extreme performance capabilities and built to be resistant to fire, wind, water, and most importantly time.
