As we continue to look for new, low impact ways to dye clothing, we’ve turned to the colouring tools of early man – minerals, rocks, and soils. Minerals don’t just tell the story of life on Earth, they also tell the story of colour. When our solar system settled into its current shape around 4.5 billion years ago, Earth was created by a series of galactic collisions. Tectonic plates began to form. And geological life and biological life fused together to create vast mineral deposits in the Earth’s upper crust. So when prehistoric man first picked up a prehistoric paintbrush, they turned to the ground around them. Today, instead of using those minerals to paint cave walls, we’re using them to dye clothing. Our Mineral T Shirt is garment dyed in a giant bath of volcanic soil. There are only 2 by-products of this process – volcanic soil sediment, and water. Both of which can go straight back into nature.

The Graphene T Shirt is the lightest t shirt we’ve ever built

If you’re looking to reverse engineer superhero gear, then graphene is your material. Invisible to the human eye and only a single atom thick, it’s the lightest, strongest, most conductive material ever discovered. So we’ve used the lightest material on the planet to create the lightest t shirt we’ve ever built.

The Graphene T Shirt is the lightest and fastest-cooling t shirt we’ve ever built.

It’s designed to keep you cooler for longer

Thanks to the graphene it’s also the fastest-cooling t shirt we’ve ever built. The human body loses more than half its heat by radiation – that's why elite marathon runners wrap themselves in reflective foil blankets at the end of races to keep warm. This t shirt has the exact opposite effect. Because graphene rapidly absorbs and redistributes heat, it creates a much larger surface area for heat loss – and this means you stay cooler for longer when you're working out at a high intensity.

How we infuse graphene into the t shirt

Every Graphene T Shirt is knitted using polymer yarns. And we add the graphene to these yarns during the production process. First the polymer is melted, then it’s extruded – which basically means pushed through a nozzle. As the molten polymer goes through the extrusion process, we add powdered graphene oxide so the graphene is baked into the yarn. And because graphene can’t absorb dye, you can see it on the t shirt as a subtle tessellating pattern against the t shirt’s base colour.

Graphene’s discovery was probably the first and last time the Nobel Prize will be awarded for an experiment involving Scotch tape and a bin.

We’ve already built four world-firsts with graphene

The Graphene T Shirt is not our first time working with graphene. In 2018, we built the world’s first graphene jacket. We then spent 3 years working with the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester creating the world’s first Thermal Camouflage Jacket – a computer-programmable jacket designed to get us a little closer to an invisibility cloak. Our Graphene Jacket in 2023 brought us one step closer to a graphene skin. And in 2024 our Double Graphene Puffer combined a graphene shell with graphene insulation for the first time.

100 grams, four-way stretch, and highly breathable

Even without graphene, this would still be one of the most advanced t shirts you’ve ever worn. At just 100 grams it’s incredibly light. It’s built with four-way stretch so will never restrict your movement in any direction. And it’s also highly breathable – so will wick moisture away from your skin and dry fast.

Graphene is the lightest material on Earth. So we’ve used it to create the lightest t shirt we’ve ever built.

Works for sport, training and life

It’s the build up of the bacteria in sweat that makes your clothes smell, not the clothes themselves. But bacteria can’t grow on graphene – which makes the Graphene T Shirt perfect for your gym bag or every day life. As well as being bacteriostatic, graphene is also hypoallergenic and anti-static.

The seams won’t rub against you

The side seams of the t shirt are designed to curve towards your back. It creates a more tapered shape, and stops the seams from rubbing against your sides when you’re training hardest. We’ve also used stretch stitching to reduce stress on the seams when you’re moving fast.

If you’re looking to reverse engineer superhero gear, graphene is the lightest, strongest, most conductive material ever discovered.

A supermaterial unlike anything before

When graphite is reduced to a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagon formation, it turns into a supermaterial unlike anything ever known before – it’s so strong and so stretchy that the fibres of a big enough spider web coated in graphene could catch a falling plane. With the potential to transform almost every industry from space travel to electronics, graphene is so mind-blowing that its discovery was described as like finding CERN’s Large Hadron Collider on your desk.

Size + Fit

The Graphene T Shirt is designed for a slim fit. If you’re on the borderline between two sizes, or prefer a looser fit, we recommend going a size up.
