Built from military grade Japanese Cordura, with a crazily tough reinforced seat, giant pouch pockets, storm flaps and gadget loops, the Off Grid Pants are incredibly hard-wearing, lightweight adventure pants that are easy to clean, easy to dry, and hard to damage.

Lightweight pants built with high-strength Japanese Cordura

Built with high-strength military grade Japanese Cordura, the Off Grid Pants are super tough, lightweight adventure pants. As a high tenacity Nylon, Cordura is normally found in protective panels on motorcycle gear and hiking boots. But we’ve combined the Cordura with cotton to balance high abrasion resistance with low weight. The pants are flexible, lightweight and soft next to your skin, so they don’t weigh you down like some high-strength materials do.

Highly durable against wear and tear

The pants are so tough they pass the same stress tests as our 100 Year gear that’s designed to outlive you. The Martindale abrasion resistance test simulates decades of wear and tear by using a mechanical thumb to rub the surface of the fabric repeatedly, until the fibres start to break. The Off Grid Pants easily reach 100,000 cycles, which means the pants are highly durable against wear and tear, as well as rocks, dirt, bushes and branches.

The seat is double layered and stitched 5 times

The seat of your pants is normally one of the first parts to break down because it’s put under more stress than other areas. That’s why we’ve reinforced the seat of the Off Grid Pants with a double layer of material that’s kept in place by five lines of thick stitching. So even if you've swapped out the sofa for a fallen tree trunk, your pants aren’t going to wear out.

Two giant pouch pockets on the front of the pants

The pockets on our Off Grid Pants are built for versatility. Two huge front thigh pockets act as storage pouches that can handle maps, tools, flasks or spare kit. There are two large side pockets, and two back pockets protected by storm flaps. In between the two back pockets are two gadget loops so you can attach equipment like firelighters, paracord or a multitool. All the pockets fasten shut with heavy-duty metal snap fasteners designed to last.

  • Elasticated cuffs, a rope-tied waistband, and articulated knees

    The pants are built with elasticated cuffs at the ankles and an elasticated rope-tied waistband, so they work like sweatpants. We’ve also added 5 belt loops if you need to secure the pants even tighter. The ends of the rope are finished with macramé, an ancient ‘square knotting’ technique dating back to Babylonian times. The pants are also cut for freedom of movement – articulated panels at the knees and tops of both legs mean you can move in any direction without feeling restricted.

Fast drying and low-maintenance

The Off Grid Pants are moisture wicking, which means they absorb any sweat, quickly pull it to the outside of the material, and let it evaporate to keep you dry. It also means they dry quickly after you’ve washed them or got caught in the rain. So even if your clothes washing routine has reduced down to a bowl of hot water once in a while, these are low-maintenance pants that are easy to clean, easy to dry, and hard to damage.
